Patch 2.14: cooking joins woodcutting and carpentry
Cooking is live. It is the third profession after woodcutting and carpentry, and it works the same way: you cook, the skill rises, the next recipes unlock. It never touches your combat levels, so a knight can spend an evening at the stove without giving up his hunt.
Fourteen recipes ship today, from plain bread to a pot-roasted boar that restores health every few seconds for ten minutes. A meal keeps its remaining time when you log out, so a half-eaten feast is still waiting when you come back.
What is in 2.14:
- Cooking skill 10 to 80, trained at any hearth, camp fire or house oven
- Fourteen recipes; food stacks with potions, but two meals never stack with each other
- A camp kitchen in Carlin, where the new cook sells spices and teaches the first three recipes
- Woodcutting now yields kindling for camp fires, and carpentry adds two kitchen sets for houses
Patch 2.14 is scripts and data only, so it went live with a reload. Nobody was kicked and the server did not restart. The full changelog is pinned in the Discord.
